A superbill is like a special receipt that we give you after your child’s speech therapy sessions. It lists all the details your insurance company needs to know about the services your child received, including:
The type of therapy provided.
The reason your child needs therapy (a diagnosis code).
How much the session costs.
If we are out-of-network with your insurance company, you can use the superbill to ask them to reimburse you for some of the therapy costs. You simply submit the superbill to your insurance company, and they’ll review it to determine if they’ll cover part of the expense based on your policy. Think of it as a way to help you get money back from your insurance company for services we’ve already provided. If you’re unsure how to use a superbill, we’re happy to walk you through the process!
